At Aliso Niguel Animal Hospital, we offer a variety of services to care for your pet. If you have any questions or would like more information on how we can care for your pet, please contact us today.
Internal Medicine
We cover all areas of internal medicine, including: Cardiology; Ophthalmology; Neurology; Dermatology; Gastroenterology; Orthopedic surgery; Oncology; Endocrinology; among others.
Emergency and Critical Care
In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is backed up by our mobile resuscitation unit, stocked and equipped to administer the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.
Immunization and Wellness Care
We strive to prevent illness whenever possible. The time and effort invested in Wellness programs has rewards for both pets and owners. Our Wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: Comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; vaccination program; spay and neuter package; and specialized blood tests for all life stages.
Dental Care
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet’s teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly – above and below the gum line. Dental Radiography allows us to see changes below the gingiva to help keep your pets mouth healthy and pain free. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available, including root canals, caps and braces.
Surgery
We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.
Fully Stocked Pharmacy
We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.
Pain Management
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.
Radiology
Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.
Hospice / Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet’s comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.
Microchipping
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.
Specialists
Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. Our staff includes certified veterinary specialists that we consult with.
UltraSound
This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
Behavioral Medicine
Illness doesn’t always have a physical cause. We can refer you to trained animal behaviorists who help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the client.
Blood Transfusion
We maintain a supply of blood for all types of pets in case of emergency. The blood is collected from donor pets that live with their owners, and all blood is carefully screened for disease.
Nutritional Counseling
Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.
Medicated Baths
While we aren’t a grooming salon (no fancy styles or even dryers here) if your pet is in need of a medical bath, we are happy to accommodate those needs! Pets must be current on all vaccines and up to date with their annual exam. We offer this service by appointment only, M-F as a drop-off (meaning you leave your pal with us in the morning and we’ll give you a buzz when we are all finished!) Check out Jose below, giving Dr. Tuz’s best buddy, Havana, a much needed scrub!
Boarding
Aliso Niguel Animal Hospital offers boarding to our clients. In order to keep your pet happy and healthy during their stay with us, current vaccinations, annual exam and flea protection are required. We have a number of cat kennels, spacious dog runs and smaller dog cages available. Pets will receive three walks a day, lots of love and attention from our staff, and will be kept on their regular diet and feeding/medicating schedules. If you have multiple pets, they may be able to be kept together to keep their anxiety (from being away from their humans) to a minimum. Pets can sometimes be unpredictable in a kennel setting so if any growling or unruliness arises, housemates will need to be separated. While our boarding area is appropriate for some pets, if your pet has a higher energy level or needs more space to be at ease, you may want to look into dedicated boarding facilities in the area as your best option. Boarding Reservations are by appointment only. If it’s your first time booking with us, come down and take a mini tour of our boarding area to make sure you are comfortable with where your pet will be staying (a good practice even if booking elsewhere.) Yours and your pets comfort are of the utmost importance to us. Pet parents are encouraged to bring their pet’s food, favorite toys, and/or bedding. Ask the staff at check in about a bath for your furry friend the day of checkout.
